Services + Creations

Writing + Editing

Writing has been the single constant across my diverse career experiences. I received my B.S. in Journalism and spent years as a journalist and copyeditor in Chicago, working for the Chicago Sun-Times and The Chicago Reporter, before launching into the world of marketing and consulting. I offer professional writing services across all medium (website, blog, social media, long-form feature, hard news, book, and magazine), in addition to developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading.

Ghostwriting is common practice. Whether it's creating new copy for a website, writing blogs or business copy, or supplying new or rewritten work for personal use via a book or book series, I can support your next writing project sans-byline to develop high quality writing that reads professionally with the proper voice and tone.

Art + Design

The fear of messing up can be crippling. My art - painting - is an exercise in rule breaking. It is a series of mistakes, made on purpose. It is fierce and messy.

My goal is to create a stirring in those that see my work, for them to imagine the process it took to create the beautiful chaos on the canvas – broken rules. In my pieces, layers of paint hug the canvas like a straitjacket, and produce images and shapes that require a sort of lifting up. Often these shapes take the form of the female body and visage, posed to both take on and embrace the world around her. Other times, the piece remains abstract. Every time, the final composition takes on a life of its own.

Marketing + Strategy

I work across government, commercial, higher education and non-profit domains providing marketing and content strategies to organizations in need of inventive marketing and meaningful content.

I like the challenge of innovating ‘non-cookie cutter’ strategic plans. It demands creativity and an understanding of the bottom-line drive.

Change Management

I received my Change Management Advanced Practitioner (CMAP) certification from Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business, and became a Certified Knowledge Manager (CKM) through the Knowledge Management Institute.

Applying the Kotter Change Model, I work with organizations to design processes and technologies, and develop behaviors that support the big picture - be that growing their business, repairing a broken system, changing culture, realigning goals to a new vision, or launching new initiatives to keep up with the cool kids.
